When I removed my 25 year old airbag, I noticed that not a single sensor was functional. That was somewhat frightening

My Subarus had stickers on the visor along with the warning label that the airbag system was to be inspected for proper operation every 10 years... I wonder why...

Probably referencing the ‘Airbelt’ currently sold in the ‘take all my money’ trim levels of the F-150. The LFA had the first versions because they couldn’t fit a side curtain airbag in the car’s roof structure. Mercedes has them in some of their high trim levels as well

The only thing I have to say about airbags and other safety features, if I can choose to buy a motorcycle I should be able to choose to not buy them as an option in my car.

I had a laugh the other day about how the takata airbags killed 20 worldwide i was thinking “ya, real episdemic”. 20 worldwide deaths is nothing and these people are being ridiculous.
I know guys who daily drive classic vehicles, or just old cars because they are cheap or unable to afford them. Even vehicles up to the early 90s are “choosing to die” levels. However i’m not too concerned with percentages and thinking about “percent change to die increased by .0015%” like i’m an insurance adjuster. I think people put too much into that shit and try to force it on others like me who don’t care lol.
I used to DD a motorcycle and only stopped because I found out I hated motorcycle. I wish I could buy any number of “unsafe” cars though.
