Oh, cute. My mother’s Micra decided on its own little illumination for the festive season.
It’s been sitting for two weeks in cold and damp weather and didn’t like it. Groggy starting then down on power followed by the light. Recovered after a while so we brought it to our local mechanic whose magic machine diagnosed an oxygen sensor and cleared it. Seems fine now.

My WRX sat for two weeks and did the same thing. I pulled the code and discovered it was the evap recovery system on mine. It took a fresh tank of fuel and a couple of days to reset.

Almost always emissions...almost always resolve themselves after a few days (or instantly, but the CEL stays on for hours or days)

They need to be cleared with one of those plug in thingies.
Mind you, my brother’s car has had the light on for a couple of years without apparent ill effect. He was concerned about passing emissions testing, but it’s fine.
