Work is alright. Some people there who have contributed to the cliquey culture there has left and new people are there...I am getting along better with coworkers there. Got a bit of a raise a couple months ago but still want to leave it for a better job with less insane hours... and leave Lawn Guyland.
This is bit weird; not sure exactly how to describe it. I’ve completely stopped communicating with old friends and classmates from undergrad, grad school, former coworkers (I’ve been there a little more than 2 years now), etc. Stopped texting, calling, emailing people I was friends with for years. None of them have reached out and it’s been about 6 months now. I feel better about it and really don’t even think about them much anymore. I don’t even want to hang out with anyone at this point cause I’ve found I’ve become pretty good at keeping myself busy. It feels almost like apathy but with more satisfaction. I think I just need a change of scenery and I know once I accomplish that I’ll be in good shape overall. Maybe I’m desensitized? Does feel a bit numb.
Prepare for a new era of Nibby. The rising has commenced, drenched in blood, turpentine, and the tears of the forgotten.

I lost contact with pretty much everyone from college, but I’ve been texting a few long lost friends recently. It’s nice to rekindle old friendships.
However, I’m happy to keep my distance from some of those people...

Thanks! Yeah I’m actually doing fine. My sister is getting engaged next week in Australia so I’ll be there for a couple weeks.

I usually give humans about 5-6 months before I cancel their friendship contract. It applies to family too. Besides chatting to you rad peeps here, I have zero friends (regular positive human interaction) in my city and maybe 2 or 3 total on Earth. It’s awesome that way lol :] No social media BS as well. Shit is rad that way for me at least.
My wife is 100% the opposite. She is brighter, funner, younger in age and in spirit unlike my bitter old self, more social, bunch of friends and has a mega rad heart. It lightens the my dark view on life to make shit go by normal.
Keeping busy is good. The best things in life usually interrupt you when you’re busy. You can count on me to be in your brigade of the darkest and bloodiest conquest \m/

My immediate family melted down about a decade ago, and then really melted down in 2011-2012. Then a little over a year ago my Mom dumped the guy she had been dating for about three years (about as soon as the ink was dry on her divorce), and then turned around and married a guy she had known for a few months. There’s four of us kids, and we all told her to wait, that three months of rebound is too soon. Long story short, I just stopped interacting with her, and have come to realize that I don’t miss her drama and that I don’t really have any desire to extend the time I spend with her at holiday get togethers. It’s really sad on the one hand, but also really freeing on the other.

I have cut my mom out of 90% of my life, I don’t have time for the petty stupid drama she surrounds herself with. My brother wades through it because he gets free babysitting out of it. Even if I had kids it would not be worth the trouble. At this point I am going to kick the wife to the curb as well after years of her putting shit off and now just saying she wont do it. I don’t have time for people to lie to me anymore.

If they don’t want to put the work into it don’t feel obligated. My friends group has gone down to about 5 from around 10 just six years ago. Others did not want to keep up and recently some and started reaching out on their own. I am the black sheep of the group though, no kids and on my first wife. I have a feeling the later part of that is about to change in a couple weeks.

I’ll be around, yeah. I’ve still been around on the Internet, just in different car forums. I’m working as a mechanic now.
