Super tempted to ask them if they want to sell. It’s a 1968 version of the clubman. All the tires are flat and the suspension is being held up by bricks. Looks like a $900 car at best

Those places rarely sell, they like the draw for the store. Oh look a car is in there and it’s little and cute. I’m wondering what happened to all the trucks that were in Old Navy. I only went there once years ago and my girlfriend at the time was looking for some kids clothes, I of course was laying under the truck to see what was what. They had those old Chevys in every store I’m told.

YES! I remember those. I always thought they were really cool. I wonder what happened to all of them.

I wasn’t familiar with this store, but it looks like you must be somewhere in the SC/GA region?

Even if it was completely stripped of its drivetrain, that’s still way more than a $900 car as long as it has floorboards and subframes. I’ve seen much worse than that go for thousands - including sill rust.

It didn’t haven’t the roof rack tent on it last time I was there. Awesome little car

This is at a outdoor outfitter place in Athens ga. I’m not sure if the motor or transmission is still in the car but it’s essentially rust free and has a complete interior. They use it as a prop in the store like putting a tent on top or they’ll fill the back up with t shirts.

Apparently Hemming has been on it,

I always assumed the hoods or beds might be reproductions, like the dynacorn bodies.

With a good interior and a solid body, a non-runner should be at least like $3500, or probably $5000+ if it’s complete. I’ve seen some in good (not perfect) shape go for $7000+ even though they didn’t run. There’s some absolute junk out there for $3000+, non-running and rusty.

It’s in the US, you have to stick another 0 on the end of that price.

It’s a Van with some aftermarket windows. Given that it’s not rotten it’s worth much more than $900.

You’d be surprised by how much old Mini’s worth.

It’s a $3000 car at least.

Are LHD 60s ones worth a few grand more than RHD ones too?

Half Moon was an account of mine for many years when I worked in the outdoor industry.

Great people! But, not likely to sell that little guy. I remember it being there 10 years ago.

This place sells quite a lot of stuff. They have stores all over South Carolina and Georgia

They took the engine and transmission out. Plus it’s sat since 2005. Rotted electronics are probably still in the car

I don’t think the issue is what it’s worth, more that it isn’t worth the $900 for them to sell it. It’s in there, looks cool, it’s paid for, and they can’t replace it for $900.

I haven’t really paid much attention (since I don’t really have any interest in LHD ones!), but if anything I’d expect that an identical RHD model would possibly be worth slightly more than a LHD model.

Of course, I could be wrong and that could just be because I’d pay more for a RHD model if I was looking.

I don’t even think US-market Minis (1959 until about 1967) draw a particular premium. The market for Minis in the US isn’t as much collectors as it is British car people. There’s not a ton of value out there in many classic British cars until you get to the higher-end manufacturers (Aston Martin, Jaguar, etc).
