Yes. It is. There are now alternative multiplayers on PC like FiveM and GT-MP that aren’t the P2W fest that is GTA:O though.

It’s not bad if you play in an Invite-Only lobby like I do. I avoid the public lobbies altogether, which makes for much better gameplay.

Thanks for this. I just finished the main storyline and now looking to mod the game. Not interested in rockstar’s online segment cause shark cards and being salty about lack of single player DLC.

uh... if only it were 60% off for the physical game and not the steam code.
Has there been any modding issues with the Steam version of GTAV. I know GTA IV had modding issues when downloaded on steam which is why I want a physical copy.

I’ve got the Steam version of GTA V and I’ve had absolutely zero issues with modding it.

Ok I will have to consider that then. Rockstar went all EA and Steam and DRM’d their physical copies which means that you can’t buy them used.
That is good to hear, I know for certain that GTA SA is all but unmoddable on steam because you cannot revert versions. GTA IV was moddable, but there were a lot of issues due to the constant updating.
I have GTA V on PS3 and the online lobbies are just getting to the point of excessive silliness, but they are reasonably tame.

No, you can jump into an Invite-Only lobby and play entirely on your own. Doesn’t stop you from hosting heists and turning on “Open Invite.” It will invite other players from different lobbies.

Suspend process on GTA v online for about ten seconds in a public session and it kicks everybody else out.
