I’m back at Toronto Pearson airport to catch my flight back to Schiphol (747 again :) ), where my parents will be waiting to welcome me back home, as my Canadian adventure ends here.
It was an awesome time, learned a lot, seen a lot of cool stuff, had a lot of fun, and met some awesome people.
To all Toronto area Oppos I’ve met: it was a blast, thanks for having me!

I’m thinking about doing a tour of Canada when I get back next year (2 more weeks of research), not sure if I’ll be heading out east or west yet.

To be brutally honest (sorry CB and others) the only must do places in Canada are Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver in my not very humble opinion.

So I’m at 2/4, but the other 2 are at opposing ends of the country...
I do have family living in Halifax (whom I’ve never met) so I might go out there. Although Vancouver has always intrigued me. Hmm...

Vancouver has more to offer I think, if your coming here for school/research there is SFU and UBC. More Oppo’s here too.
Halifax is more historic, but smaller with not as much to do unless you drive out of the city.
Halifax would be way cheaper though. Rent here is nuts
