My wife brought home a kitten to add to the family today. We’re deciding on a name, and she mentioned that for some reason Walter was in the running among her and the kids. I immediately suggested the full name should obviously be Walter Mitty. She said no.
And then, like a bolt from the blue... WALTER KITTY! I think this will be my secret name for the cat no matter what happens. There’s no saving me from myself, so just laugh along with me.

The worst part of it all is that cats don’t really care what their slaves call them. They wish only to be fed and sometimes scratched but gently and with clear indication where!
