Is it not a spare port where something can be plugged into and so may or may not have something there depending on the spec.
Or something recessed so there is something there but the wires that cross it play no part in it’s function.

Maybe. It’s part of the ECU and sensors, so I kind of doubt it, since I don’t think there’s much change between the different trims, but maybe.

Any wire withing the symbol is shielded. And the shields should be going to ground. I’m thinking that red wire is both overall foil shield and braided shield because it has two shields shown for the same wire.
Some wires have just an overall shield, or just a braided shield. Both is the best shielding.

The whole wire should be shielded. Two grounds is likely for a foil and braided shield as diplo said.
