better, but not better enough. Truthfully I really like the shape of the Cherokee. The #1 problem with the Cherokee, in my mind, is the net zero camber. They need to reengineer the suspension to take a lift from the get go. Well that and the seemingly chronic reliability issues.

In the current times where every brand needs a ‘face’, the Cherokee will soon be left behind as not fitting in with the rest of current and upcoming models. They want the Compass and Cherokee to look like mini-Grand Cherokees I guess.
Not sure why the Renegade looks like a mini Wrangler though. Or is it supposed to look like a mini old Compass/Patriot?
I dunno.

I appreciated the KL for Jeep deciding to do something a little different. It stood out in a world where most crossovers look the same from all sides. I could see that string of LEDs up top from a mile away and say, “that’s a Cherokee.”

It’s definitely better. Although the old ones have grown on me. I had to pick out a company car for a colleague and it had to be Chrysler. So I found a KL in budget with like 45k miles on it. Took it for a test drive since I’d heard horrible things about the 9spd, but it really just felt like an auto to me. I was personally impressed with how well it handled the shitty roads.
So I told the guy to check it out and he goes and drives it and then he notices a god damn jeep patriot with the cvt. Drives that and decides he likes it more. I drove the patriot after I bought it and it’s fucking garbage. Hate the CVT, has crazy amount of torque steer. Rides like shit over bumps, even like those little bumps where they cut the concrete. It’s a 2015 and still has drum brakes in the rear WTF. It’s terrbile I hate it so much.
