Kinja'd!!!

Are these any good? Any comparable (better) phones?

Essentially the things I want for my phone, that fits with the $15 postpaid plan at least and $25 plan at most, are...

over 3000mAh battery

16MP or better camera, and

enough processing power to run DS and PSP emulators

There you go.

I cant comment on that exact type of phone, but Ive had a Z5 for a couple of years now and cant say a bad word about it. It has served me well (pictures always turn out great, weather or no weather, day and night). As far as gaming goes, I dont run any emulator programs on it, but I do game on it (regular mobile games), it does those without any issues.

If you can wait a few months the XZ2 is supposed to come out sometime next year.

I had build quality issues with my z3 compact but fingers crossed since swapping to the xperia X ive had no issues.

International model if you dont care about color was had for 260 straight up and it plays stuff like pokemon go, puzzle and dragons, and the new animal crossing no problem.

Havent emulated but its a pretty good bang for the buck for my uses and the camera is solid everywhere but low light.

Non starter for me. In the US they don’t have fingerprint sensors because of some weird contract Sony got strong-armed into. The sensor is physically still there but disabled in software to comply with the contract.

the Sony handsets have usually been good quality hardware, but I’ve never liked their modifications to the Android UI.

I’m a sucker for Sony products, so my opinion doesn’t count.
But:
I currently have a Z5, had it for 1 1/2 year, broke the back glas twice. It’s currently broken, but I decided to live with it. It freezes maybe once every 2 weeks on average, but works without a hitch after rebooting.
The coating on the camera lens is damaged, pictures now look a bit blurry to me.
Overall, it’s a good phone, and using a protection case would probably have saved me some trouble. But I refuse to put a phone into a case. Designers worked hard to make it look like it does.
