I’m not sure if the 16GB has enough memory to hold that iOS.

When you plug it into a computer does anything even pop up?

You might have to use iTunes to restore it back to your last backup.

Damn, that sucks... I’ve always been told Apple was sooo perfect. I can hardly believe something like that would happen! :)

You might have to do a factory reset deletes all your photos, music and apps to load iOS 11.

Hey, all the drama I’ve had with my android phones EVER was due to me experimenting with nightly versions of Cyanogenmod :)

All of your apps are tied to your Apple ID, so they will come back to the exact some places you have them arranged. Music should also be fine, same thing with your ID. Now your photos could be in trouble unless you for sure have backups happening.

It shouldn’t start an update if there isn’t enough memory tho...

Yeah and for a company that sells only two phones a year with it’s own proprietary OS that it’s been perfecting for something like 10 years, if it crashes that way with yours now, it’s kind of pitiful...

I’ve been using iPhones for years, have had a bunch, my family of 5 has one, and in all those years, I’ve only had one that shit the bed. And that may have been due to a non-Apple repair that I had done by some guy at the mall. Not sure why all the Apple hate.

Because of the Apple “Tax” that overprices its products because iOS/MacOS/WatchOS are supposedly more refined and work better (it just works™) than the Android/Windows alternative. That may have been truth until recently, because Apple surely fucked things up with software this year. Can’t talk about WatchOS or MacOS (although I’ve the latest release of the latter is also pretty bad) because I own neither product, but iOS 11 is buggy and much less estable and polished than 10 was. If I could return to it, I would in a heartbeat

Because they all lag more and more after years a couple of use thanks to the terrible updates of the OS... It forces people to change them all the time, especially since you can’t downgrade them easily at all... So people buy a new one! and those “non-apple” repair lol... Merely changing the battery requires PRACTICE. Not special tools... practice. And the cost? 79$ “service fee”. Meanwhile my Nexus 4 is running smoothly on Android 7.1 thanks to Lineage OS... Changing the battery cost me 6$ and when it was new I paid about 600$ less than an iPhone... Sure the phone wasn’t as nice, but damn, was it more open... I currently have a Nexus 5x which I’ll probably change for a OnePlus 5T very soon.
