If the price had dropped sooner there’s a very good chance I would’ve picked this over my Galaxy S7 Edge. Now that the price is lower and the camera’s been fixed, the only things I don’t like about it are the lack of aptX bluetooth support, and something like Samsung Always On Display or Moto Display. Supposedly aptX is in the works for some point in the future but I don’t think they’re going to add an AOD/Moto Display type screen.

I am going to use the Aux port in my car (as it doesn’t have bluetooth)
But I understand you, I think the PH-1 is the spiritual successor of the Nexus 6P: its cheap, its big, its a good contender, and it is a bit simplistic. The Pixels are far too expensive to be the real successors to the Nexus 6P.

Most cars don’t support aptX anyway. But my gym headphones do.
You could add bluetooth to your aux port with something like this .
