I have a scotch on the rocks right in front of me. Long day over ehre too. . Spent most of today in the hospital with the girl. She went in for surgery yesterday after months (years?) of discomfort after eating and ended up having a very enlarged and enflammed colon removed O_O. Spent most of today at her side and she’s already able to walk around for short periods of time and was able to hold down food and use the bathroom. Rather thankful I got to see it and be there for her for most of these moments. Gonna sleep well in a bit knowing she’s doing well.

...Not too related to your long day. Just been a long day and don’t feel like making a full oppo post. But yes, cheers to coming home after a long day. I raise my glass of single malt Speyburn to your whiskey on the rocks.

Glad she’s doing well.

She’ll feel a degree of discomfort for a while but it should be a lot less than the pain she’s been living with.

Yeah, the surgeon saw us (the family) afterwards and said the colon was twice as long as it should’ve been given her size. She’s a svelte thing and is quite trim and thin in the middle so none of us have any idea where she was hiding it.

Ye’, the colon doesn’t like being messed with so takes a while to settle down.

No spicy food for a while either but he’d of gone through all that with you.

Fingers crossed she’s back up and better than ever soon.
