Dave Barry has been dorky at times, but I struggle to find anyone else who has been cranking out comedy gold so consistently for 30+ years.
I equate him to “the Gary Larson of columnists” in that respect. Definitely one of my heroes. When I was a kid, I thought you could only be funny in movies, tv, or standup. He proved me very wrong.

Have you read Big Trouble ? I did, a while back. I don’t remember much about it, except that there’s a scene involving a cane toad-induced hallucination that is cough out a lung hysterical.
