Owning a pretty low car is amazing, however it’s a challenge too. The cheap jack I own is too tall to get on the cross member to lift it up, and doesn’t offer enough lift to get the car nearly as high as I need it.

Kinja'd!!!

Today, I solved that issue. Was $149.99 I got it on red tag for $99.99 and offers 19” of lift reach with under a 3” deck height. It also offers three tons of lifting power, so my problems are over now.

Also, for a grand total of $31 extra, I got a pair of cutters that suspiciously look perfect for cutting up to -10AN lines, a set of sockets and ratchet wrenches in the common DSM sizes. 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm. Life is good today!

I bought this same jack last week, in preparation for a water pump replacement! It was $69 at the time, with an additional Black Friday coupon.

I removed the castor wheels from my cheap jack, now it JUST BARELY makes it under my car. That lopro one is on my list though

I am SO glad I got a low-pro jack to replace my crappy trolley jack. It just barely fit underneath a non-lowered car that had a flat tire.

I should have gotten one of those rapid pump ones, though. Good choice!

Funny enough I’ve had the regular steel 3-ton HF jack for a long time, it’s swell. When I got the RX-7 it didn’t fit underneath, so I got the 3-ton low-profile one (3 ton jack for a 1-ton car so I can use it on my other cars too). Its max height is higher than the regular jack...

I honestly never even thought to do that. That’s a fair enough idea. My car is rather low and it’s been a struggle.

Thanks! I’ll definitely report back on how well it works!

That’s exactly why I bought this one, because the height max is really good! Plus the weight capacity is obviously amazing.

Bought one of those for when I had my Abarth 500. It’s been a good jack.

I have had one for a couple of years and other than weighing a metric fuckton, it’s a nice jack. Fairly quick to lift, low enough for my Volvo and a nice smooth release. It also has never leaked down while I have had a car up with it. Well bought.

I have the same jack, and love it! Way better than the cheap jack that came with two jack stands I got as a gift once. The jack stands are useful though.

I wish HF still had the one with LEDs built into the pad. I think I’m about to mount a laser pointer with a bullseye shape tip to the pad of mine so I can better line up where it’s going to hit on the body.

Maybe park with a thick piece of plywood under each tire when you want to lift it?

Nice! Pinned it to my phone’s Start page for the inevitable times I forget to bring an unexpired ad or mailer with me...

There definitely is that, I’d considered that myself.

That’s a great jack, I have one too and it’s great.

I take that back, mine is the older model with the foot pedal. That makes it really nice. I can damn near get my cars up off the tires with just the foot pedal. Looks like yours has the rapid rise setup, so no foot pedal, but it should lift quicker than he one I have. I’ve had mine for over 8 years and it’s still working great.

That definitely gives me hope for it lasting a while. It has the rapid rise, which is super nice in my opinion. I’ll be figuring it all out today.

I’ve always had good luck with the HF jacks. I still have the two I’ve bought. The older one is over ten yearsold easy and has that rapid rise mechanism.
