Kinja'd!!!

Sometimes I wonder how in 15 years so much of this car has turned into rust, then I drive down the highway and am reminded.

Bonus RX-7 content (since it’s in the background): I’m going to start working on fixing the oil leaks this weekend, particularly rebuilding the OMP and replacing the pan gasket. Not sure how far I’ll get, but my work travel is done for the year so I at least won’t be interrupted for week+ long trips.

Or just, y’know , remove and block off the OMP spot, and just premix.

It’s too far gone at this point (and was already 95% of the way there when I got it). The next one will be southern and get suitably sprayed before its first winter.

Counter-argument: Daily driven (spring through fall)

is that a counter-argument? carry some 2-stroke oil with you.

I’d rather not have to constantly keep 2-stroke oil on hand, not to mention open containers of it in the car, measure out oil every time I get gas, and so on when I can just use the system they put on the car in the first place which accurately meters oil (based on throttle position, not just constant worst-case ratio) into the engine.
