Congrats on submitting the paper! I’ve submitted the first draft of my internship report today, so I know the relief you feel now.

Also, behind the Tatra (definitely one of my favourite cars too) is one of my favourite buildings: the Louwman Museum in The Hague, the Netherlands. It really is one of the best car collections, ranging from the beginning of cars, all the way to today. The cool thing, is that it doesn’t have one specific focus, but can be seen as a lot of specific collections that together form one large collection.

Thanks. I believe the Louwman also has a Toyota AA! It’s on my list once I go back to Yurrp. I was there in 2008 with People to People Intl which didn’t go anywhere I wanted to go and was overall a waste of money. Who goes to McDonalds in Venice? P2P. Anyway. The Louwman seems like a rich man’s Lane Motor Museum, although that too has some Tatras.

Yeah they do, apparently the only real one left (even the Toyota museum has a replica). If you ever get back to Europe you should definitely go indeed! It’s a bit of a rich man’s collection, but also plenty of cheaper stuff, to keep it quirky.

(By the way: Going to McDonalds in Venice sounds like a waste of money indeed, there is so much better food in Italy)

If I recall correctly they have a rep as well. There are two real AA’s I know of...

Yep, take 15 or 20 sheltered suburban kids to Europe...

From this piece on their website I get it is the only one: https://www.louwmanmuseum.nl/Ontdekken/Ontdek-de-collectie/toyoda-aa

But I could be misreading.

Ok, I think I was remembering the tan one (edit: yes, a replica), which seems to be at the Toyota Museum, Hongqi notwithstanding:
