That’s awesome. I had wanted to turbo my 01 CR-V and do a manual swap but never had the money to try.

Hopefully I don’t have to do anything under the hood, but I do plan to start fabricating new seat brackets so I can mount the Volvo seats I have in my El Camino. It will be amazing to have something comfortable in there for a change.

Gotta do an oil change on the Abarth. Probably something else in there, too, but mostly I’ll be scrambling to finish up this range hood I’ve half built 2 years ago...

Ugh.

Hopefully finishing the work on the MR2. Wrapping up the two week brake job, putting the manifold back on and repairing the unwanted weight reduction.

Hoping my brother got a coil and wires and we can put them on his golf and away the car will go from my life. That might be a little too hopeful though

Kinja'd!!!

Too damn cold to wrench. Only emergency repairs.

Speaking of which, I need to go figure out what size rim I have.

Is there a way to tell based on tire size?

For instance if tire is 2xx/yy/zz - is any of it an indication of how wide the rim is? I know diameter, but I don’t know the width.

I bent a front rim. Took it to a place to get straightened. Frustration frustration. Finally find out the rim is cracked. I left it there. Let them have it. But I now need a new one and based on my quick ebay search, they vary in width and diameter. Diameter I know... but width?

Mostly waiting for the correct parts to arrive and lack of time to fix it.

I was hoping it just needed pads and possibly some attention to the caliper sliders, but needed a caliper rebuild plus discs as well. The first set I ordered turned out to be fronts, the second set appeared to be lost in the post, but turned up yesterday with the third set that I ordered elsewhere...

I’m hopefully gonna make some more progress on the never ending project of reducing the amount of holes in the floor of the car.

Kinja'd!!!

Last weekend was fairly successful with me getting the sill and under-floor supports welded in. The floor pan isn’t welded in yet because the batteries on my welding helmet crapped out and my eyes didn’t like that very much.

Kinja'd!!!

Just a few more holes in the inner front fenders and I’ll be done with the welding for a while.

FYI here’s what the driver’s side looked like before all this.

If it doesn’t rain I need to replace the radiator hoses on my truck tomorrow. This’ll probably be the last warmish weekend we have for awhile so I want to get it done.
