Kinja'd!!!

Pulled from a 2012 Mazda5, same year and model as I have, but these are the larger 17 inchers, and they’re for sale just a few miles away from me. I’m not sure how much tread is left and if the TPMS sensors are still there - I’ll have to contact them to find out. I’ll also need to find out if these tires are 5 years old or if they’re newer.

They’re asking $500 for the set, which is a bit more than I’m interested in paying, but they have been listed for several weeks now so I might be able to talk them down a tad. I’ll need to find out what would be considered a reasonable price.

They’re not the Mazda6 wheels I wanted, but I know that they’ll fit on my car without issues, so that piece of mind has to be worth a little something.

Hopefully they respond. I’m trying to buy a set of wheels right now and found the perfect OEM ones but no response from seller :(

I was gonna say, 6 wheels wouldn’t fit.... or might fit but would sit 15mm or so father inward than 3,5,CX-7, RX-8, MX-5, CX-5, etc that all share the same offset.

The 6 was the oddball because ‘MURICA. Not to mention the Tribute and B-series.

As I recall from previous research, my 5 and that older 6 share the same oddball 5x114.3mm (4.5") bolt pattern, but the offset was a bit different. Not a significant amount, but still a less-optimal solution than a set pulled directly from a 5.

If you can talk them down to $400 that would be a nice pickup. Have you checked Facebook marketplace and Facebook pages related to your car?

I was hoping to go lower than $400, but at the same time I don’t want to be insulting. I have sent a message with a few questions, so we’ll see what becomes of that.

Even though I have a Facebook account I rarely check it, usually only when my folks are on vacation in some exotic locale. I’ll have to log in and check it out - thanks for the advice.

You are correct. The 6 wheels will sit in farther and looks a bit silly IMO.

My wife’s 2007 6i (Sport Value edition, so spoiler, bigger wheels, and no TPMS) lives on our driveway slowly rotting in the Midwestern sun. If you had compatible wheels, and tires that at least held air I’d consider some sort of swap. The wheels need some TLC but AFAIK they’re “true”.
