Kinja'd!!!

With the net neutrality being killed off, what will happen? Also, winter is going pretty decent in Michigan.

How’s everything else going and such?

So amazing. I passed a V6 Camaro and Camry going uphill while they were spinning with hazards on.

I’m stating that it’s possible to drive a Mustang in the snow without Cars & Coffee happening every mile.

I don’t know. Life seems overall ok, but I have been feeling more and more depressed everyday that goes by. Which is weird because I can usually figure out what triggered it, but I can’t this time.

Other than that work is work and my cars still runs so yeah. I wish we had snow though. I am getting tired of smelling smoke

Things are adequate. My girlfriend finishes her exams for the semester, so I’m really looking forward to that. Also, since we briefly talked about sunrises a few days ago...

Possibly nothing. Possibly a lot of things that will all be terrible. We don’t know, and the uncertainty is kind of uncomfortable.

We only had net neutrality since 2015, so this rule change just puts things back to the way they were before then. Theoretically, an ISP like Comcast could have done things like block access to Netflix or YouTube, or charged more for it, or slowed down connection speeds to access them at any point prior to 2015, but they never did (although, the threat of impeding net neutrality hanging over their head might have kept them in line), now, once again, they theoretically can, again. They still might not this time, but the threat is now there that they could.

Their argument is that they’re already losing subscribers like crazy to unlimited data plans from cell phone companies, so they have no incentive to make services worse for their customers than they already are, at risk of losing even more market share, but, we shall see if that holds water.

True they could do nothing, but that would be against their own interested to see this trend continue.

It really depends, most of them are scrambling to turn themselves into content providers at the moment, and Comcast has made attempts to break into wireless. Could well be that the major ISPs eventually spin off their old tech physical networks and just old on to their flashier new businesses.
