Pre-2015 also had net neutrality provisions. Your internet being more expensive is probably a result of monopolistic practices that today’s change will probably promote.

In the past two years I was able to FINALLY GET high speed internet at my HOME. No, I’m not shitting you, I live in a rural area and the neutrality and expansion laws are the ONLY reason the service provider finally bothered to install an aDSL gateway within 20 miles of my current home. PS, I’m maxed out at 15Mb down 1.5 up. I dont even have an option for something faster. THIS is why net neutrality matters.
full disclosure: I lived in a metro area previously and had cheaper, faster internet there, so It’s not like I’ve been without this whole time, but if the new house didn’t have it (see above for why it does) i would not be here now.
