Now, more seriously... I like Alpines - the old sort. I think they are ridiculously overpriced nowadays (it’s absolutely nuts) but hey, they are quite special indeed, after all.
Now, that thing that Renault has just concocted, with its retro styling... why couldn’t they leave the Alpine name well alone? Why not creating a new brand and a properly avant-garde, trend-setting new style for it?
Damn marketing.

murder is acceptable when people are blocking the isle you need to be in to have a chat about their boring bloody day... or when someone takes 10 minutes attempting to pay with exact change..
murder is also acceptable if the person in front of you is driving/cycling walking to slow... or failing to keep a steady speed or line..
trying to sell you something at the door... oh yeah.. acceptable murder...
looked at you funny? breathing to loudly?... bad table manners.. all acceptable murders...

Being in CA I had crazy plans of going to Mexico to find a Dinalpine, not as good but I could do some work on it. After all kinds of plans, Opel GTs etc... I settled on a 240Z in a shed.

Back to Alpines and newfangled wannabe Alpines by Renault...
A110 replica bodies have been available for quite some time now. (In fact I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t anyone making them in CFRP.) If I needed to feel a connection with Alpine (albeit a mostly aesthetic one, granted), I’d rather buy one of those and put it on a decent chassis (spaceframe, double wishbones all around etc), probably even with a mid-mounted bike engine.
I’ve seen something around those lines on a car show and it looked very businesslike, very efficient, and extremely fast (it surely was lighter than a real A110). I bet it is would be cheaper than the “new” Alpine too.
What I saw was similar to this:

Davrian/Darrian started doing A110 replicas (“MC220 Monte Carlo”) but that was a long time ago. I wondered if they still had Imp parts by then.

I am pretty sure this place is not the only one to manufacture A110 replica bodies (for restoration) and/or replica cars using the former.
Probably the best way to find about all these is to look for Alpine+berlinette+A110+réplique+carrosserie+moteur+moto in Google, YT, etc.
