Earlier this month I winterized the RX7 and drained the oil to change the pan gasket and fix some other leaks. Taking advantage of this, I sent in a sample what I drained out for analysis (which I do for any oil change, but this is the first I’ve drained the same stuff I put in with this car).
It isn’t great, but not bad either. I mentioned in the note that it leaks a ton, I guess they read it. It was half a quart low when I drained it, too. My garage floor is a disaster... 2qt (probably burned .5) in 1200 miles. That’s why I’m fixing a bunch of leaks this winter (and doing other things).

I need to do mine, but I keep forgetting to every oil change.

The fun part about a lot of oil leakage or burning is you’re inherently refreshing the oil all the time. Hooray!
I know that feel, bro.

Get a sample kit, keep it with your oil change stuff

I’m in the “have kit, keep forgetting” camp.
