You are correct. Edited. I just saw the rear scoop and assumed Z06. I forgot about the Grand Sport - I don’t think I’ve actually seen one in person yet.

A foam cannon would be fun, I’d like to get one.

That’s true - I can’t say I’ve seen one on the road. Just regular C7s and Z06s.

They are great. Makes car cleaning easier and the kid across the way loves when I do it. She’ll come out or water at the window and shout, ‘it’s snowing’, then goes when I wash it off.

Someday, I shall. I just hosed off the truck, actually. It’s been parked outside and had a layer of dust on it like you see on supercars abandoned in some middle eastern airport garage.

I’m surprised at the number of Z06's I’ve seen - it’s pretty expensive car, but I’ve seen at least half a dozen of them around town.

Sorry, either my mobile and/or kinja were being a dick last night while I was at work.

I’m a home user myself and highly recommend getting one. The best is the PA one made in Italy. All brass construction where it counts and robust plastic knob on the top to adjust flow rate and robust plastic nozzle on the front to adjust the fan spread.

You should be able to find them from as little as $30 on Amazon.

If it doesn’t look like this one or similar (some have different nozzles or lance attachments) don’t get it. Some are made by PA, some are made under licence but there are some that are poor ‘knock offs’.

No worries.

I couldn’t do without mine.

As most micromarring is inflicted during the wash stage it’s best to touch the car as little as possible, let the water, etc... do the hard work.

For sure. If I don’t have time to do a really good hand wash, doing everything right, I just go to the coin-op place and do as much as I can with water and pressure. Better to leave the stubborn stuff until another day than do permanent damage by not doing it right!

Using the foam lance I did both wash (exterior, door shuts, wheel arches), seal and dry then dress exterior plastics, tyres and clean windows) both these cars in 71 minutes.

I wasn’t in any hurry or anything just got on with it as weather was setting in.

That was spraying degreaser over both cars with a trigger sprayer, spray all eight wheels with wheel clean, pressure rinse, snow foam shampoo onto both cars, two bucket wash with grit guards in both buckets, pressure rinse, foam with CarPro Hydrofoam sealant, allow to sit briefly or gently wipe in and pressure rinse off then dry either with a towel of drying aid.
