Anyone here have a Uconnect system that when you tried to use the navigation you randomly got a “map data not found” error and a “need detail maps to navigate” message? Basically it gives me only main roads in straight lines and shows me off in the trees somewhere next to it. Forums have not been helpful, because I’ve seen people say they’ve run a system update and its fixed it, updated the maps and its fixed and those that none of the above have worked and had to get the unit replaced. I’m planning on taking it in when I get back from my work trip but I figured I’d ask here to see if anyone has experience this issue first hand.

Zoom in on your map and see if it gives you more detail. I get that in my Taco sometimes, if I’m zoomed out too far,

No. It’s downloaded on the system. Worked fine the other day. Indications are the file randomly got corrupted or their are issues with the unit itself

Not the issue. There is an actual error that won’t show the detail map. Like it’s zoomed in and the major highway is a straight line (and it’s not actually straight) and I’m off in the woods to the left as I’m driving.
