Has 18-70mm Sony lens (probably the Chinese one) and is on sale for $99. I don’t care about high resolutions and being the latest/newest/greatest. Reviews seem to be pretty good.

I have a Nikon D60 for sale for around that $100 mark if you’d be interested.
my exwife had that Sony, my current gf is selling her Nikon. My personal experience with both was roughly the same, I don’t know enough to tell them apart technically. I found the Nikon easier to use, personal taste. If that price is on a new it’s a good one.

Minolta is actually Japanese and owned by Sony; their legacy A-mount glass has usually been pretty stellar and now incredibly affordable.

Same experience with exwife and gf? Bruh thought you would have learned something by now...

Have never used, but what’s to lose?

$99 for a 14-megapickle APS-C DSLR is peanuts. The kit 18-70 seems adequate. If you can get old-school Minolta A-mount lenses, you’ll be set.
