I was surprised to see that these were directional tires. Makes me feel a little bit better about giving up the summer tires.... I can at least pretend I’ll still have some cornering ability!

Bad, I know. And those are the relatively decent front tires. I’ll show the backs when I swap the winter tires on. It’s absolutely mind-blowing how well these things still grip, even in the icy 27° morning conditions

We’ve actually had some wipe outs due to winters on backwards.. a driver spun off on the main highway and into the median and didn’t make it.. wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected but they figured the backwards winters in snow conditions started the whole thing..

1.1 inches. Plus another .5-1 inch lift taking into account how worn the old tires are.

That, plus maxing out my ride height should hopefully make the yata not a complete snow plow!

They should clear no problem when I raise the ride height a bit. Went from 205/50r15 to 195/60r15 so about an inch taller and a quarter inch narrower.

I decided at the last minute against ordering something even taller.... Thank god
