Cannot figure out why they bother salting so hard here. It’s ridiculous. Most drivers here can’t drive even on bare pavement and should just stay home if it gets icy. Just gives them false confidence.

The odd thing is that it was only the one interstate that was salty. I-95 and I-64 were clean all the way through Richmond. 295 looked like chalk.

Streets by my house look like the Bonneville salt flats. Salting must be sponsored by the local car dealers.
