Saturday we dropped the kids off at my parents so we could paint the kitchen cabinets, then we dropped the kids off at Mrs Opposaurus’s mothers so we can paint the kitchen cabinets. I’m tired, its been a long weekend. We go to order takeout. Sushi, cool yummy and ontop of that mt sister-in-law has 50% code for grubhub. unfortunately, even though the place will deliver, grubhub’s website wont let it so i decide to go pick it up. Opposaurus Jr#1 wants to go for the ride. cool sure lets go. As i’m cleaning the snow off the windshieldof the Focus, my roof starts moving and out pops a head thru the sunroof.

i cleanout out the tracks and could not get the sunroof to close. well looks liek we’re getting food with it open. every time i stopped it would drip on my head. after 15 minutes of driving with high heat it finally closed.

Kids sit in the back. Always. My 10-year-old still keeps to that rule. And, technically, that still applies to the Miata.

I was talking to a friend a couple of years ago about my kids driving me crazy. I said, “What the hell was I thinking when I decided to have kids?” My friend replied, “You know exactly what you were thinking.”

she was in the back. she couldn’t get her buckle buckled and thought that would be a good way to tell me instead of just waiting for me to get back in the car

I pulled the wiring harness off the sunroof switch in my car for this reason, more or less - it will stay that way at least until spring.

My sister in law did that a few years ago in my FIL’s F-350. I’m her defense it was a sunny April afternoon, and the truck is so tall we had all forgotten that it still had 3,4 inches of snow left over from snow fall a couple days ago.

As you can imagine the sunroof on a full size truck is quite large al 5 of the people in the truck got covered in snow.

My first one was planned, in a way (if it happens, it happens). The other two... not so much.

But that’s okay, I love them more than anything. I also repeat this to myself over and over again when they piss me off.
