Neighbor didn’t cover his car, looks good with snow on it.

Warmed up the ol’ girl. Threw a moisture absorber inside to see how much will get collected while in winter mode. Installing a spring on the hatch as soon as I get a Torx 30 bit.

Do any small stuff to your car this weekend?

Started a complete stereo upgrade, replacing every stock component in my Miata. That, and prepped to install more accurate gauges for water temp and oil pressure, along with all the senders. Pretty good day of work.

That vette is a beaut. Sorry about the poor fastener choice haha. So how does the moisture absorber work? Does it need power, or do you just stick it in the car and call it good? I could use one of those 24/7

I just finished reading through that, way above my pay grade! But good on you for getting so much done. I have nightmares from taking off door panels in a past car.

The moisture absorber is this , pretty much a bigger version of the packets you find in beef jerky. Might not do anything at all but they were cheap so I figured why not.

Washed the Miata and gave it a light clay bar cleanse to scrape off some of the baked on dust.

Gave the Camry a quick rinse on the front and a light sand & polish on the lights.

Love how fast doing a clay job is, recently added that to my arsenal. That reminds me, I really need to do the lights on my Subaru.

Just staying humble in his 700hp supercar. Dude treats it like a daily, you gotta admire that.

Why cover it? A small snowfall won’t hurt.

I really need to do the passenger side headlight on my Accent...the driver side light is brand new, so it looks orders of magnitude clearer than my sun damaged passenger side light for obvious reasons! :(

Awesome. I ordered a few, hopefully they get the job done! There’s always some seal leaking somewhere...

I started off with zero electrical knowledge, and just learned along the way. My door panels are pretty trashed. The leather is stapled to the backing in places, and many clips are missing or broken. Brushed steel door panels are waiting to go on.... Which will be attached with heavy duty hardware, no more plastic clips to break.

I learned my alignment must be shot for the second time in a year and a half. Rear all seasons are fine, but the front ones are VERY worn and also very feathered....now I need to book an appointment to get the alignment done again, get them to check my suspension (it seems very worn to me - stock suspension at 130,000kms) may as well get my winter rims/tires on as well.

Also found out my rear-right speaker is blown...

I thought most people just suffered through the snow and scraped it. Do a lot of people have car covers in your complex, or are you just talking about tossing a tarp over it?

I’m surprised anyone with a GT-R doesn’t pay for a garage space...

The guy with the GT-R covers it sometimes. Everyone else just scrapes it off. I cover the Z since it only gets driven occasionally now.

Yeah, another piece of your suspension might be contributing to the wear. Did these already go through a rotation?

Sounds like a nice upgrade. And let’s hope these things work haha, seals aren’t the greatest on the Z either.

Suspension was supposedly looked over at my oill change last month and I was told it was OK, but I have some doubts about the shop...

Tires were bought used, so prob gone through a rotation on another car before mine, but had plenty of tread and we’re all evenly worn when I put them on in the Spring :S

Rear tires (lots of tread left for another season, even wear):

Fronts...very worn and feathered on the inner edges (which is the same thing that happened and prompted my alignment in May ‘16):

They work. Had one of the powder moisture absorbers in my W204 after discovering a leak from the panoramic roof.. fixed the leak, and the absorber got a good amount of water. No moldy Smell so far.

Just make sure to remove it when u drive. I forgot, and it spilled all over the floor in my backseat. Took me like half an hour to vacuum it all up lol.
