It was a balmy summer’s evening tonight, so the opportunity to take the 740 Turbo down to the beach was irresistible.
The MX-5 is great fun with the top down, but it’s a shouty, aggressive car. The 740 is the ultimate cruiser, a tan leather couch that just eats up the miles.
A highlight of my childhood was sheltering from the rain in the boot of my parent’s Cortina, eating cereal at the caravan park. It’s nice to be in a wagon again. <3

Stupendous! My dad used to have a stick, ‘89 Turbo Wagon with the optional third row—a unicorn that I hope to find someday!
