I moved earlier today and my old truck was the tool of choice!

Kinja'd!!!

This was the first time I’ve really used it to do truck things. Its never been in a condition where in would trust to load it up and drive it across town, but it completed the task today without an issue.

Beautiful specimen. My pickup has made homeownership a much less painful process. It’s a half ton, but [looks around, whispers] I loaded 1,157 lbs last week.

It’s a good day to be out in a truck!

For sure as no a/c was needed!

Thanks! I was nowhere close to capacity weight wise today, but the extra length of a 8 ft bed makes everything easier. Also the bed being at a reasonable load height unlike modern trucks with sky high beds.

Yep, even a new RWD Tacoma is still on stilts. Freaking ridiculous, where has all the honest utility gone?

No clue and it is so unfortunate. I can step from the ground into my bed without and issue. A new Ram has me struggling to reach the bumper to climb into the bed.

I didn’t realize it until I did the math afterwards (that’s when you’re supposed to do it, right?), but I hauled 3,000 pounds of dirt in my 1/2 ton this summer.

I agree. My favorite Tacomas are the 5-lug normal-height ones.
