So long as the wind isn’t hitting you, you can bundle up all nice and warm and whack the heater to its highest setting and just *barely* survive.

I used to putter around in the Miata in cold temps, until I put the RS3s on it. Those were definitely not a cold weather tire.

Suffering is a key component in Land Rover life

If it’s running you must find another way to suffer.

It was 49*Freedom Units this morning. I wore a fleece jacket and had my seat warmer and heater on. I’m officially soft haha. This guy gets props.

Freedom units are the best units. Not that they make sense but ‘merica.

The bigger the number, the better. Even if it’s arbitrary. #MERICA

Thats not cold anyways. He even has a roof and some windows in the way. If the heat works, then that is downright pleasant. It only starts feeling annoying below zero and at higher speeds.

I have seen low 30s on the external temp gauge in my STi. Been driving the same mountains in the Miata too on Star Specs. I cant imagine I am getting maximum grip like that lol. But I have no temp indicator in that car so I just assume its warmer out. Its Socal, it doesnt get cold here! I will just ignore that elevation part.

There is no cold weather, just inadequate clothing.

Unless you’re on a motorcycle, then yes there is cold weather. I’m cold just thinking about the times I’ve driven in weather below freezing

Hot take (get it???): Fahrenheit may be arbitrary, but it’s not worse. In fact, I think it’s better for day today use, because it has finer degrees of gradation.

I agree on the finer variation. I’m amazed at home when I’m too hot a 70 but too cold at 67. I don’t think Celsius thermostats would provide the difference I’m looking for.

Saw a BMW 3-something convertible at the local Tire Warehouse today getting it’s snows put on... it was 27 degrees Freedom and the top was down. I wish I had taken a picture. (for those of you not familiar with the Tire Warehouse, they have open changing bays with a roof only, so you can see what’s getting new tires...)

There’s a guy in a NA Miata that drives around in the snow with the top down. I also have my soft to rolled up in my Rover too.
