The can/bottle is what would get me in trouble. The $250 fine is enough to discourage me from trying to get drinks into the dorm. All it takes is some do gooder Freshman who hasn’t experienced finals week yet and that drink becomes super expensive. Stupid dry campus rules.

Looking forward to the selection of Beer and Cider I have tucked away in the fridge back home to try over break.

Just the University of Vermont. They went to a dry campus a few years back as a student health movement. They also banned the sale of Red Bull and the like on campus about 10 years ago.

The Gov’t. They control all alcohol sales in Ontario. As of this summer you can buy it in grocery stores, but no later then 11:00pm. The Gov’t owns the market on alcohol sales still. So they charge lots then pile taxes on top of it because they can. You can also buy it brewery direct for a tiny bit cheaper.

When I was in school, the cheapest beer was Black Label - a case of bottles (aka a kennel of black labs) was $3.89+refundable deposit. I still wouldn’t drink it - tasted like drinking ink.
