Great song.
Saw these guys perform in the summer of 1997. They were headlining a festival full of alternative bands that inspired mosh pits, etc... They came out and started performing one of the slower songs off the album and the crowd started booing. The singer got pissed, stopped the band, and said something to the effect of, “Alright, we’ll give you what you want, then we’re leaving.” They played ‘Cumbersome’, then walked off stage. End festival.
I can’t blame them for being frustrated at the lack of appreciation for their body of work (all 1 album of it), but it was irritating that I waited through crap bands (except for Poe...she rocked) all day to see them, heard 3 songs and they left.
Granted, it was a free festival...but still...
