Alright Oppo, how many problems winter projects can you spot? They’re almost all things I was aware of but this might be fun for some. I’ll re-share with an answer key tomorrow or something.

Kinja'd!!!

There are also some known things that you can’t really see in a picture.

Have fun!

Update: Here’s the stuff I picked out. There are 5 main things in the picture, and a few (in blue below) that aren’t visible that I figure are worth mentioning, too.

Kinja'd!!!

Thanks for playing!

I see a missing bolt, dead center.

What do I win?

(edit) also, no racing beat header and catback. Get to work!

A star on the post. That was the easiest one!

I contributed! I’ll have to post something similar sometime, so all of you can tell me what’s wrong with my car that I don’t realize.

On second thought... Maybe I don’t want to do that.

Transmission cooler vented to atmosphere?

needs oil change, transmission fluid change, blinker fluid flush, possibly brake fluid, new tires, a wash, and LS1 swap

Hmm that discolored mount in the middle appears very wet, covered in an oil leak maybe? This car is super clean looking though on the bottom, not used to that with my NJ sourced Miata. You can eat off the bottom of your car!

And looks like a nice rusty spot on the white car worth attending to. More wetness further aft too on the closer car.

Leaking tranny? Looks a little reddish, might just be oil. Wait, is that a disconnected tranny cooler on the left? Lines look too small to be for a radiator...

You appear to have the self-lubricating feature. Still working after all these years!

Nah, not a problem - it’s a 5-speed so there isn’t meant to be anything hooked up to those lines.

I’ve already done all of that except the tires and the LS1. The tires are perfectly good but I’m replacing them in the spring with something less “walmart” and more “performance” - the LS will get nowhere near it, thank you.

the LS1 swap was a joke!

Correct! The OMP leaks profusely, which is why there is oil on the far side of the front mount-plate-thing.

Living in Ohio and being from western PA, I am amazed at how clean this car is (it came from GA) - it’s so incredible to work on something that isn’t rotting apart. I took the factory exhaust off with hand tools .

The white car in the background is my beater crown vic - that visible rust spot is the least of its rot having spent 15 years in the salt belt. If it weren’t body-on-frame it would have broken in half by now. This will probably be its last winter.

It’s a 5-speed, no ATF present :)

Factoring in the burns-oil-by-design rate, in 1200 miles I leaked 1.5qt of oil (burned about .5). Most of it is on the garage floor, but a whole lot is still on the bottom of the car! There’s a lot in my parking spot at work, too.

No worries! It sort of comes with the territory of having an RX7.

Besides, if I wanted to put an LS into something, I have a Chevelle that would be a much better fit.

No need to pay for oil changes; just top it off frequently. Genius!!!

I couldn’t take this car to visit friends with concrete driveways, though.

I did drain the oil on Sunday (sent in a sample for analysis as always), gaskets and such are in the mail, hopefully I can make this unleaky.

The leaking is another feature - built in self-undercoat/rust proofing!

At least that’s what I keep telling myself...

I like to call it English rustproofing. It’s worked wonders for my TR6
