This is familiar to me as I have also hauled one in the back of a Forester. Just barely fits. The connections to the motors are a weak point and can break off. If you are handy with a soldering iron you can do a better job than the factory does. On one of mine a tab broke clean off the motor. I ended up replacing the entire motor and gearbox as one unit. If you don’t have a rapid charger I would get one right away and also a higher-capacity 12V battery. The OEM batteries have a built-in fuse - if you build your own don’t forget to wire a fuse inline from the + terminal or you’ll probably end up melting something.
