now consider the likelihood that every single vehicle in that picture was sent to the scrap heap years ago.

I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those Checkers were still running. They’ll probably outlast the Apocalypse.

Grease and Annie and Checker cabs and Mustang IIs and Fiat Spiders and AMCs, what a time to be alive.

I am sure these cars were boring at the time, but now they are really interesting. A Fiat Spider 1800/2000, Chevrolet Monza, AMC Concord, and Checker are in the same image! Does any one know what model of Pontiac that is, and what is the tan car behind the Monza and Concord is, next to the Mustang II?

The big white Pontiac is a Grand Prix, probably about 1977. I think the beige car is a Datsun, maybe a B210.

Also, is that a Monza or really a Firenza?

I saw this photo, and immediately “Hard Knock Life” started playing in my head.

You are more correct. From more googling I think it is a 77 or 78 Oldsmobile Starfire SX of GT.

Yes, Starfire. I was pretty sure the grille wasn’t Chevy. Those really were unattractive cars.
