I can’t fall asleep anywhere but my own bed. It’s awful.

I’m right there with you. I don’t think people realize how valuable a skill that is sometimes.

Takes me a night to get comfortable in a hotel. First night - bottle of wine and some pills and eventually terrible sleep ensues. Second night - out cold.

I can do hotels because the beds are usually super comfy but if I’m on a couch or in someone’s guest bed it’s guaranteed that I’ll be waking up every few hours all night.

I tend toward insomnia ordinarily anyway, even at home, and I have a pretty decent mattress. Doesn’t matter how comfortable the bed is, unfamiliar place or break in routine is going to aggravate it.

I can pretty much sleep comfortably anywhere as long as the temps are low to freezing. I have even slept comfy in the back seat of my GTO and I am 6'2"
