The Volkswagen CC looks amazing in person. Not as distinctive in pictures but still, this is how “4door coupes” should look imo.

The interior is also pretty nice, but getting a little dated.

Also, this.

Whenever I see a CC on the road, I have the same opinion. I have no idea what the performance specs are, and I really don’t care. I imagine that most CC owners feel the same way.

Yeah they look really different in person for some reason. The sad part is I think it shares powetrains with just the normal Passat lineup. I could live with a 2.0t model with an intake exhaust and serious tune, cosmetically stock.

I dig the way it looks, but it had the problem of being an expensive Volkswagen.

Yeah VAG will only ever see my money for a GTI.

It even looks good in lighter colors. But I’m never doing a VAG product again unless I have something reliable as a spare (and deep pockets...)

Counterpoint (of sorts): “4-door coupes” need a better terminology/description, e.g. Low-roof sedan or noggincracker or something. They look neat - if a little cockroachy e.g. CLS, A7, etc. - but coupes should be reserved for 2 doors only.

The CC is easily one of the better-looking VWs in a long while, especially the facelifted update, and the Arteon concept successor. My favorite feature is that on models with rearview cameras, the trunk emblem actually partially pops out, revealing the camera.

I still wouldn’t own one, though. Even the thought oof potential VAG vehicle ownership makes me shudder, no matter how good GTIs get or how exciting Porsches and Lamborghinis can be.

Yeah, they are good looking. I wouldn’t touch one with a ten foot pole, but I like looking at them.

Its replacement, the Arteon, is also quite the looker.

But is it really a bad thing CC owners want a stylish sporty European 4 door coupe for the price of a Camry? For my money it needs to be manual AWD but to each their own. I’d rather see a Auto FwD CC on the road than another Traverse.

No, it’s not a bad thing at all. It seems like a fine car for people who just want a nice car.

Or if they finally had the guts to bring the Scirocco over.
