Yesterday I posted about how I was going to install these as soon as they showed up, so of course they came today instead and upon closer inspection, my flanges are toast and I need to visit my local exhaust shop on Monday.

Story of my life.

I’ve been looking for a specific item that has been out of production for a while. Usually see them for sale used for between $1000+, sometimes closer to 10k. Long story short, I scored one off of ebay last night for $350 shipped. Sent the funds and went to sleep happy. Woke up to the order cancelled, funds returned, and a message with a bullshit excuse as to why he won’t sell me the item. Ruined my whole friggin day.

Ugh. That’s pretty nuts. Sounds like you’re a collector of some kind of that’s not an obscure car part? And yeah I’m starting to genuinely believe in murphy’s law these days, it seems like whatever I can think of that might go wrong actually does.

Then there’s the power seat switch I ordered from infinitiparts.ca on November 4th. Almost forgot about it. Emailed them on November 23 asking about the status, and they reply saying it will be shipped the following day. Hear nothing until the 27th, when I get an email from them saying my order has shipped and another from Loomis (the courier) saying my item was picked up. ... Of course, Loomis’ tracking system just says “try again later” when I actually try to track it.

Just glad I didn’t order the thousand dollars worth of door actuators from them as well.

I know Murphy well.

Lol, loomis’ tracking literally just updated for the first time. They attempted delivery yesterday, apparently.

You can get two piece repair flanges that go around the old pipe if it uses a donut style gasket
