Well, you guys had Thanksgiving, I have Christmas to spend in another town far away from my beautiful, if not messed up, Mexico City.
It is true that some of us chilangos are quite elitist when it comes to the other states, some call them provincias (which could be understood as “fly over country” under some circumstances) but I do have family outside of this bubble... They just reside inside another bubble...

Monterrey...
I’m not driving my fuel hungry car 8 hours through not very safe highways... So I am literally flying over my country towards this hallowed place. I wanted to rent a car there; maybe something fun. But Turo isn’t here yet, well.... Not the affordable, diverse type.
I even searched in the fancy area of Monterey, but no.. only a very expensive land rover...which I wont rent.
I guess I’ll just have to rent a suzuki swift.

More people attend the Tecnologico de Monterrey (a university inside a city with 4.5 million* people) than live in Monterrey,CA.
*:Includes Metropolitan area.
