I love unique but particularly bright/deep colors. Each vehicle I own is the loudest color available from the factory.

Happy Friday!

I applaude you for owning cars in the loudest colours available! I wish mine was too, but I couldn’t find one in the colour I liked, so instead I bought one in worlds most confusing colour:

According to Renault it is white, according to the registration papers it is yellow, and I think it is more of a beige.

Where’d they get yellow from? I lucked out with the M3 (phoenix yellow) as it just happened to fit my budget and be my favorite color when I was ready to pull the trigger almost 11 years ago. I played the waiting game to get Sepang Blue on the S3. When I bought the Grom, they had one in each color so I took Marigold Yellow. With the Ranger color was low on my list, but the one I bought just happened to be bright red! I’ve been meaning to get a picture of all of them together, but it’s tough to get them all in one place and clean at the same time.

Apparently Renault used to call it ‘Jaune Vanille’ (Vanilla Yellow) and later changed it to ‘Blanc Vanille’ (Vanilla White). The weird thing however is that the cars the factory called yellow are registered as white, and a very small series(maybe 50 cars), somewhere in the middle of it being called white, were registered as yellow by someone at the Dutch registration office. After those they are registered as white again, which is really weird.

Awesome story about the colours, you definitely made the right choices.

That sure would be an interesting picture, but I agree that getting all clean and at the same spot is hard, haha.

None of my cars is in a color that I really like. I did paint my Vectra in black but it barely counts as a color.

Someday I will paint my car just like this Soarer. Actually I have already painted one but it was an RC in 1:10 scale.

I also did one virtual version. I don’t really like red cars but a small amount of red is ok.

Hah so it appears that the silly motor vehicle rules and regulations are a global phenomena. I’ve always preferred an off white to bright white on cars.

Oh I like that even minus the decals. BRG is next on my list of favorite colors.

Yes, it seems to be haha

Yeah off white makes it a bit less clinical. And it also makes cleaning the car less important, as it just gets more and more off white (Sometimes I only notice during cleaning how dirty it was, you would think I should know that, having owned it for 4,5 years, haha)

I really like green cars but I have never managed to own one. Most of my cars tend to be a bit too rare (or just “lucky” finds) to have any color choices. My least favorite color is indeed red but so far I have owned 7 originally red cars from which 2 were painted to other colors (one by me).

Nice Porsche. I’m picking one up in that same color in February.

Well, not a Porsche, but something with the same color blue!
