Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

the cop turned around to stop traffic and a bunch of people waiting to cross the street pushed it into the auto parts shop parking lot. Its been there for an hour now. i guess if you are going to break down, next to an auto parts store is a pretty good place to do it. I’m guessing the driver has a full tool box with him. I actually have to go over there to return my old battery for there core charge on lunch.

UPDATE: it left on a flatbed

You’ll need more than tools for a rotary

Back in 1997, my dad moved the family from GA to AZ. We drove because we had two cars, and when I say we I of course mean my parents. At this time my dad had a 1996 Subaru Legacy GT and my mom had a 1991 Mazda MPV, with the V6. I rode with my dad pretty much the whole time in the Subaru and my sisters and mom were in the MPV; this was the first time I’d been allowed to ride in the front of the Subaru because of the airbag. Anyways, on this particular day we had swapped cars, and it was me and my dad in the MPV driving through New Mexico. Somewhere along the way my dad noticed the temperature of the MPV was rising, so he puts the heat on and we continue. There was obviously something wrong with it and this is before cell phone internet. We make it to the hotel that night and guess what’s across the street from the hotel? Yup, a Mazda dealer. Service tech came in early the next morning, changed the water pump, and we were on our way.

Say what you will about 90s Mopar, but my vehicles always get me where I’m going before breaking down.

We had a 91 Mazda MVP, too. 2WD, V6 and load-leveling rear shocks via the towing package made for a fine family truckster and tow vehicle back when we had a smaller boat. They bought it new in 91 and it hung around the family into the early 2000's to become my grandmother’s last vehicle and the first thing I got to drive to school at 15. It did donuts like a champ.

For all the use we got out of it, my Dad would probably say it was one of the best vehicles my parents ever owned.

Assuming y’all stopped in ABQ, we bought ours from that Mazda dealer off I-25 that had a couple of hotels across the street from it.

It was one of the first cars I drove as well, at like 14. My parents also bought it new, forget all the options it had but I know they got rear AC, I know this because it was vital in AZ. It got traded in on a Buck my dad bought in 2005.
