It looks like Peter is on the Jalop staff, so it’s probably just a one-off.
A big reason that people aren’t putting the work into OPPO posts anymore is that there doesn’t feel like there could be any pay-off for putting the time in... I mean, who wants to put hours of work into something to end up getting 50 views 2 comments and no shot at a FP share for a wider audience?

I disagree. There are usually many more, multiple a week. Not every FP article is all that lengthy or well researched. Furthermore, if we know FP shares are plausible some people might put in some extra effort.

Definitely agree on the last point! Hey, would you be interested in helping out as an “editor” on DasWauto’s http://oppositeblog.kinja.com/ ? It’s a continuation of his “The Best of OPPO” that he and I came up with. It’s very low-effort, all we do is share high-quality content from OPPO to the page, so it’s all OPPO posts, just less and only the best stuff.
