Not saying it should be attempted, but a buddy of mine smacked up his car. We took it to a junkyard.... this is a special type of junkyard. more like a junkyard mall with many different junk yards there.

Anyway.. this one dude said he can fix it. He Parked his car in front of my buddy’s car. Used some ratchet straps to pull the dents out.

Another time a dude tied his car to a tree and went in reverse. Tree was stronger than the bend he had so it straightened .... relatively speaking.

He wasn’t after F40 precision..

But your method also works well. I would be worried about damaging accessories

Ive seen plenty of these kind of hits on the Craigslist mechanics specials. Theres an E420 i know of for a few hundred.
