Kinja'd!!!

I know it’s just a facelifted MKX, but the Nautilus actually looks tough in blue. The length of the hood and the bluntness of the fascia make it seem more like an SUV, if that makes any sense.

What’s the price on one of these, starting price and top out price?

I understand the name Nautilus is the new name for the MKX which has a $39,000 start price.

A nautilus is a primitive mollusc surrounded by a shell filled with air. Therefore this is an extremely appropriate name for a Lincoln SUV.

It’s also a kick ass submarine that sinks sailing ships.

It looks like it’s going to be around the same price spread, as it’s just a fairly heavily facelifted MKX.

I hate being that guy who says that this looks like that , and in fact I rarely do it, but in this particular picture at this angle, something about the greenhouse shape and its relation to the wheels and fender flares reminded me of a Bentayga at first glance.

Now that you mention it, I can see somewhat of a resemblance.

I like the Jag but were going for the Kodiaq when it’s time to replace Piglet. Either in hybrid form or 1.5 TSi petrol form.

I think I’d still go for the Edge Vignale over the other one.

Also if you google search for Lincoln MKX the Subaru Outback pops up. Now that’s aggressive marketing

?

The Edge is a little too American for what Europeans are used to but it could be what Ford needs.

Eh, I don’t think anyone besides rental companies buy it. Anyways, the “VIGNAIL” was from some Brit reviewer who kept pronouncing it that way, smh.

Oh, okay.

Ye’, we’d pronounce it ‘vig-nail’ or some would pronounce it ‘vig-nail.

I can’t see rental companies wanting to fork out that sort of money for a spec for a rental, they may go up to Titanium spec for a few but in most likelihood they’d go for mid-range spec or lower.

Right, this is the average spec round these parts

Kinja'd!!!

Honestly don’t understand who’d get a Vignale, it’s too expensive to be an Edge and too cheap to be a true luxury car.

I think Ford brought it here under the ‘one Ford’ plan, but it’s too American in styling, sort of a Ford Jeep Cherokee. It’s the topper to the baby Ecosport and the Kuga. The Ecosport doesn’t do well because it’s Ford’s version of a small compact SUV which elderly people live for easy ingress and egress.

Certain brands are acknowledged for different segments such at the SUV market for Toyota, Mitsubishi and Land Rover, Luxury for Jaguar, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Land Rover, Prestige for Jaguar, BMW, Audi and Volvo, Large Car for BMW, Audi, Volvo, Skoda, VW, and so on.

Ford falls under, small, compact, medium and large segments. Woe betide any company that pursues entry into another segment.
