I’m no gunsmith either, but rebar generally seems like not the highest quality metal - at least the rebar I’ve worked with. I’d want to be very far away from anyone shooting that thing.

We took a family trip to Canada in around 1982, up the Eastern Seaboard, all the way to St. Anthony, New Foundland. There was an exchange rate where my green money turned into red money and the amounts weren’t equal and the concept was totally lost, totally unfathomable to me. When I went to Germany with the Army, briefly, in 1984, $1 US was worth DM 3.11. Three to one. When I was stationed there later it was only about DM 1.60.

TBH I completely skipped to the end. once I found out he was going to sleeve it instead of rifling the rebar and that it was .22 I just kind of zoned out. Just shoot the damn thing.

I have to work in comfort + style. I don’t recall a ring avulsion or foot injury but if there were any, they were worth it. This was a fun little project.
