I generally try not to disparage people based on their looks. I mean, we don’t have any control over our genetics. I guess politicians are fair game to mock like that, but it doesn’t sit well especially if the target isn’t trying for an outrageous or weird look (like say Trump’s hair). In this case, I don’t think Mr McConnell tries to look goofy, it’s just the genetic lottery life gave him.

The comparison has been made many times. But, on the other hand, every time a politician tries to better their appearance through plastic surgery or other such intervention (Joe Biden with his hair transplant, John Kerry with his Botox, etc), they get savaged pretty badly for that, so they’re kind of damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
