my brother visited and brought me the limited edition vegemite!

Aren’t there some rules about transporting hazardous waste across international lines?

had relatives working as missionaries in a south american nation, vegemite got stopped by customs, was then labeled as engine grease and proceeded through no issues. perhaps the second check wasnt looking as hard, but the story stands

Could probably be used for that application anyway.

thermal breakdown is probably not as long as one might hope, but I’m sure in a pinch it could be

I had a friend that works for big blue in Australia, and when he came to the US for a 6 week school he brought some Tim Tams with him, luckily he spared me of the vegemite.

Well, you could lubricate something with it, so the principle holds anyway.

good news! these are now available in the US at some stores.

my local grocery store has them sometimes, but Cost Plus World Market always has them.

It’s kinda like spreading this on toast, or so I’ve heard.

I’ve not had that, but yeah, it sounds about right.

usually the end of a jar of vegemite is mixed with water and used to make a nice broth/sauce for cooking meat in. so it is very similar

apparently their national pastime is telling American visitors how good Vegemite on toast is, and then trying not to laugh while said American slathers on a good layer as if it was peanut butter.

I can get Marmite at Meijer, but I don’t hate myself enough to want to try it.

Vegemite and Marmite are both terrible.

Bring over some One Fifty Lashes instead, that stuff is good.
